Daily Mt. Everest Weather Forecast
At the peak today, temperatures around -28C, wind speed at 37m/s. That is meters per second, so this would be about 133kph or over 80mph. The is a zephyr compared to the forecast 53m/s ( around 114mph) and -32C by nov28. That's cold enough without even thinking of the windchill. And it's not even winter yet. I'm staying home.

Images of Sable Island
Here is a fascinating gallery of Sable Island images. It is always amazing to see the large numbers of wild horses living on this small sandpile of an island, 200 miles out in the cold atlantic.

For a bit of history of the horses, see also:
The Wild Horses of Sable Island
"Sable Island is one of those legendary places where few people ever have the privilege of visiting. Those who are fortunate enough to spend time on this 40 kilometre stretch of shifting sand and grass rarely return unaffected. It's sweeping landscape, remote windswept dunes and legendary nomadic horses strike a chord in all who visit."
